S.A.S. A Storm Gathering By Mick Dale - A Must Read New SAS Autobiography

"S.A.S. A Storm Gathering" is Mick Dale's detailed story with nearly 100 maps, sketches and photos of his time in the SAS between his Selection Course in 1972 to his final job at the LRRP School in 1979. All aspects of his service are covered, selection, training courses, exercises and finally operations. Mick is part of the SAS Operation Storm in the Dhofar region of the Oman. This operation ran from 1971 to 1976 and was known as "The Secret War". Also included are other SAS soldiers personal as well as official accounts from 2 of the epic battles of Operation Storm: The Battle of Mirbat, where 9 SAS men fight off over 200 enemy. Op Dharab at the Sherishitti caves where the SAS presence in this 500 soldier operation, and one man's bravery in particular is reputed to have, "prevented a setback into becoming a rout".

The book, is described by reviewers as "a good read", "A piece of history" and "Your style is clear and lively, moving the action along quickly, while giving enough detail to make the setting clear, I really enjoyed reading this".

This is not just a book containing a chronological list of facts but a nitty gritty account of B Squadron's activities between 1972 and 1979.
