Things haven't been easy these last few years for my kids, both have dealt with the trials and tribulations that have occurred with complete style and I am incredibly proud of both of them.
So the background to this is Ben passed his driving test last February, but we sort of came to the agreement that seeing as he was off to University, it wasn't really worth getting a car yet. Disappointment followed for many a month, but being a top lad, Ben knuckled down with his studies and well... in a nutshell... he did superb. A 2.1 for his first year. Fantastic. And he even sorted himself out a summer job in a town about 8 miles from home. Bus timetables were checked and all was in place to get himself to said job...
However, his sneaky father secretly had been looking for a car for him...
So, I popped to Sarah's to fetch Ben, then on a "round robin" trip mentioned that I had forgotten my house keys and the house was unlocked, so we agreed to nip back home so I could park on the main road, with his new car just out of sight! Phew, all went to plan. A shocked and delighted son...
