So, this is where Ben is living for his first year at Lincoln University. He shares his apartment at Brayford Quays with 5 others (3 lads, 2 lassies) and each person gets their own room and bathroom with shower. Everyone shares the communal kitchen/diner/lounge.
I've seen other first year accommodation, student halls etc. at other Unis and this is quite decent if I'm honest. Great location, right next to the quay. Ultra close to the Uni. Parking isn't too good, it's quite a tight car park. According to Sarah, Ben's Mum, on moving in day it was a joke. But then again it was just one day. All the other times I've been it's not been too bad. There is also a time limit for parking...
I Dislike: Feels like Cell Block H, whenever you first enter the apartment's central corridor. Blank walls and heavy plain doors. Lack of mobile phone signal for around 200 metres around and in the building. Apparently it can be very spasmodic. I'm on O2. Ben is on the ground floor and they might as well not have windows - nothing to look at. I'm sure above the ground floor would be better though. Washing machines for clothes are way too expensive!
I Like: Clean, functional, modern, good value overall and a great location.
